Summer Swing...

Before Summer began ...all was abuzz on the "color-blocking trend" ....except this picture really depicts how I thought the Summer 2011 "buzz" needed to swing..

I am aware these pics are from Christian Dior's 2011 Couture Fall line ...but really - just looking at them ..it's all such a concoction of happy and summery colors..

Summer Sandals

This summer and with the anticipation of "color" ...I opted to go for sandals that would go with everything. I managed to find two great pairs at YOOX..

..as in floral scenes - round and about the neighborhood.

All is abound with the sights and sounds..

Leonard Spring 2011..

When I first laid on eyes on pics of Leonard, Paris 2011 Spring line -- I was basically smitten!

Everything about its prints, patterns, play on pastels...

..punctuated with a string pattern of black ...made it all so exquisite.

....then there's this piece with mixed patterns in blues/white and nude.

I could post endlessly about or on any and all things Alexander McQueen! ..so why don't I begin with this wonderful tribute, starring Daphne Guiness..

Etro Fall 2010..

Last Fall, after scanning the sea of 2010 Fall collections ...I stumbled upon this divine dress from Etro.  What caught my eye was the "Chinoiserie flair", which I thought was refreshing.

More of the Chinoiserie flair ...mixed with the modified qipao (pron: chipao) and its interesting bold print. (right)

From the same collection, this gorgeous red skirt and floor length gown with the paisley motif re-arrangements ...divine and interesting!

Generally, I am not a fan of paisley …but the Etro 2011 Fall collection left a visually rich "eclectic-ethnic", bold prints and arrangements impression ….and what I think augurs a 2011 Chinoiserie fashion Spring/Summer trend...
